On 24th January 2014, President Museveni officially launched the YLP at Kololo. YLP is a programme designed to reduce poverty among the rural youth.
During the launch, district youth chairpersons were given motor bikes whereas their counterparts at the sub-county level were given bicycles so as to monitor all government programs in their areas.
