Youth MPs under their umbrella body Uganda Parliamentary Forum on Youth Affairs congratulated Hon. Evelyn Anite, the youth MP for Northern Uganda upon her appointment as the Minister in charge of youth and children affairs.
Youth MPs appealed to Hon. Anite to prioritize passing and implementation of youth policies including the National Youth Policy which has not been reviewed since 2001, and the National Action Plan on youth employment.
“It’s our humble appeal that you address issues like the proposed National youth internship and service program, the youth enterprise fund and the setting up of a high level multi-sectoral youth working group”, added Hon. Monicah Amoding, the Forum’s Chairperson.
